The Blewbury Players, in collaboration with the BBC (Blewbury Broadcasting Corporation), are pleased to announce the return of revue. Not since BBC3 in 2007 (yes, it’s that long ago) has there been anything quite like it. But at last, in the spring of 2019, and in the hope that all memory of 2007 has faded, we will present the imaginatively titled BBC4. What is BBC4? In these days of Netflix and personalised programming, you may well ask. It is song, dance, film, sketches and fun, all brought completely up-to-date, digitally re-mastered, live-streamed and podcast, and peformed by you!
We are looking for performers and material, new and old, experienced and hopeful and for help backstage. To kick around ideas and trial sketches and songs, we are organising two Fork Handles evening on Fridays 9 November and 7 December from 8.00 in the Melland Room. Everybody is welcome. Whether you have some ideas, some scripts, some songs, want to perform or just have a drink and see what it’s all about, do come along.
