The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in St Micheal’s Church 28 November to 2nd December, 2017. Jo Laugharne will be directing and, consistent with the production’s aim of encouraging new talent, Katie-Jane Whitlock will be designing. We are planning a launch at the end of February, when we will be asking new people to step forward into production roles, where they will be mentored and supported by our production experts.
This much loved story by C S Lewis will be popular with all ages and, given its Christian themes, will work particularly well in the Church. There are already lots of ideas crackling around and there will be strong roles for adults and teenagers as well as for children and puppets. With Great Expectations, this is something to look forward to in 2017!
LAUNCH EVENT We had a brilliant response and attendance at our launch event. Thank you to all who came along. Please e-mail us (as above) if you would like to get involved in the creative process and non-acting roles.
Those that attended were able to watch a video of inspirations for the design process to come… This can be viewed by visiting our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BlewburyPlayers/
Jo Laugharne (directing) and Katie-Jane Whitlock (design) have the vision and we are looking for people to contribute, ideas, skills and enthusiasm in true Blewbury spirit. Why not join us to contribute to ideas that will transform St Michael’s Church into Narnia and bring the characters and animals alive through movement and puppetry. There are various production roles from artwork, construction, music, costume, make up, hair, props, lighting, sound, front and back of house and more.
