Peter Pan, 2011

Think Peter Pan is just for the children? – then think again. Garth Bardsley wrote a highly entertaining and thought provoking adaptation for the Blewbury Players. There really was something for all generations to laugh and think about in this new play. It rang true for anyone who has experienced the challenges and emotions of parenthood, struggled with trying to ‘fit in’, or just dreamed of adventure. This adaptation viewed growing up from both an adult’s and a child’s perspective. We discovered more about the many people who populate Peter Pan’s worlds. We found out what is it like to be Peter’s shadow, what happens when the Darlings discover their children gone, why Captain Hook is so very rotten and how we all have crocodiles in our lives. The garden theatre was the perfect setting for this fabulous flight of the imagination…….
